Man dies after being struck by car that left the scene, police say

A pedestrian was killed last week in a hit-and-run crash in South Jersey and as of Monday, police said they were still searching for the driver who left him for dead.
The 58-year-old man, who was not identified, was hit around 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 25 in Hammonton near the intersection of South White Horse Pike and Lakeview Avenue, according to a statement from the Hammonton Police Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car that was last seen leaving the scene was a white 2014 BMW 328, 4 door sedan with front end damage, more specifically to one of the head or fog lights, investigators said. The car was last seen traveling east on White Horse Pike.
Anyone with information on the crash or who had seen a vehicle matching that description was asked contact the department.
